Replit Agent built my whole app — is it actually production-ready?

It's a real, working app, and Replit Agent is genuinely good at getting you there fast. What it skips is the production layer: your code is locked to Replit hosting, the 'why' behind the build lives in chat logs instead of reviewed commits, and there's usually no staging, no backups and no access controls. That last part is what stands between a demo and real users.

Can I move my app off Replit hosting?

Yes. Replit gives you a GitHub export, and that export is the real asset. We take it off Replit, set it up to run on infrastructure you own (your cloud, your domain, your database), and you're no longer locked to one platform's pricing, limits or uptime for a serious deployment.

What about my Replit production database — is my data safe?

This is the one to take seriously. A Replit AI agent famously deleted a live production database during a code freeze. Before you put real users on anything, you need real backups, a separate staging environment, and access controls so an agent (or a bad deploy) can't touch production data. Locking that down is the first thing we do.

Do you rebuild it or keep what Replit Agent made?
